Part of my Bible reading this morning was in Numbers 13. This is the story of the spies that Moses sent into the land of Canaan. We probably can all remember singing, "12 men went to spy on Canaan, 10 were bad and 2 were good...." They saw that the bunches of grapes were HUGE and admitted that the land was beautiful, but they responded out of doubt. After all, those giants were also pretty HUGE!! Our first reaction when we read about the spies' unbelief tends to be condescending. Didn't these spies see all the amazing miracles God had already done in and through their nation? What about the plagues on Egypt or the parting of the Red Sea? But we need to be honest with ourselves! How many times are we a part of the "10 that were bad"? How many times do the giants in our lives overshadow the beautiful land that the Lord is giving us? We have a choice to make today: Will we be part of the 10 or the 2? God wants to do amazing things in the "Promise Land" of your life!!!
