God's blessing in my life today was seen in some simple, sweet memories. We had our video camera out to tape our 2009 Christmas decorating. Afterwards, we decided to watch some home videos from the last few years. We relived birthdays, Christmas celebrations, and vacations from the last 4 or 5 years. It was amazing to see how so many things had changed and so many things were exactly the same. I know that in the videos to come, I will see many things change. My sweet baby will continue to grow (I can't believe how quickly he has changed in 18 months!). Adam and I will get older too, and our family will hopefully grow in number in the years to come. Our house and fashion will probably change as well. I hope we also continue to change spiritually. I want to be closer to the Lord in five years than I am today. I want to be a more godly wife and mother in the future too.
There are also some things that will stay the same. Adam will still be the sweet, funny man I married. My son will still be one of the biggest joys in my life. I will still love Christmas and birthdays (and the good food that goes with those celebrations!). Most of all, I know that my God will still be the same! He will still be holy, loving, kind, and all-powerful (just to name a few of his amazing attributes!). I know that whatever life may bring, I am in his care and that will never change!
