The Bible tells me so.
It's one of the first songs we learn in Sunday School or Children's Church. It's drilled into our heads through paper plate crafts and coloring pages. It's simple for us to understand that Jesus loves ALL the children of the world.....including ME!
Then why do we struggle with this principle as adults??
Why do we feel the need to measure up and earn Jesus' love for us??
After all, why would the God of the universe really care about MY life??
The truth is, that God's Word doesn't change somewhere between our childhood and adulthood. There isn't an age in which we suddenly have to start earning His love. His unending passion for us doesn't have an age limit. Consider these verses:
John 3:16, "For God so LOVED the world, that He gave his only begotten Son..."
John 15:9, "As the Father LOVED Me, I also have LOVED you; abide in my LOVE."
Romans 8:25, "Who shall separate us from the LOVE of God..."
